The figure’s intense gaze meets us with stillness and strength, while the textured copper and earth-toned background evokes both fire and foundation. A halo—imperfect, almost violently sketched in white—hovers above the head, disrupting the traditional image of divine purity with something more human, more honest.

Tears run down her face like oil or ash, suggesting the sacredness of sorrow, the beauty in brokenness, and the truth that holiness can wear a wounded face. She is both sacred and scarred—a testament to resilience, identity, and the unseen battles behind grace.
