Meet the Artist

Summer King

Jamaican-American Artist | Educator | Founder of Mosaic Minds Art Academy

Summer King is a Jamaican-American artist whose work is a radiant celebration of nature, culture, and femininity. Raised in the vibrant, multicultural heart of the Bronx, New York, Summer was deeply influenced by the rich textures of urban life and the profound beauty of the African diaspora. Her art reflects this journey—blending earthy tones, spiritual symbolism, and bold expressions of Black womanhood.

Now based in Lilburn, Georgia, Summer is the founder and owner of Mosaic Minds Art Academy, a creative sanctuary she established in 2017. As a full-time artist and educator, she leads a team of talented instructors who teach a wide range of visual art techniques to both children and adults ages 5 and up. Her mission is rooted in the belief that “art heals pain”—a message she embodies both in her personal creations and in the community she cultivates. Through her studio practice and her academy, Summer King continues to uplift, inspire, and educate—using art as a tool of empowerment, expression, and cultural preservation.

"Art transforms pain into purpose, allowing beauty, connection, and unity to emerge". -Summer K.
